This collection of Chinese export porcelain Alter Fruits and Alter Fruit Box date back from the late 19th century, early 20th century. Used as Temple offerings, the 4 Alter Fruit pieces are different styles/sizes of a Peach, symbolizing marriage, spring, justice and for Daoist immortality or longevity. Glazed in bright greens, pinks, reds and whites, with intricately laid stems and leaves accenting the gorgeous fruits. All 4 are in great condition.
